Well for those of you who wandered down to the club on Friday you would have contributed to a great atmosphere. Of course the weather was perfect, the rare beef rolls fantastic (thanks to Liz Brooks), the beers cold and the wine plentiful (thanks Russell and Stuart). Oh I almost forget there was some tennis on. Our Prestige Reality Men and Ladies both had good wins ensuring they stayed number one on the tables with one round to go in the round robin stage on the Chelsea Cup.

Our Prestige Reality Ladies took on the defending champions Milford and after the singles the score was one match each. Prestige Reality Campbells Bay Kairangi and Kelly came from a set down to force a super tie break against the top pairing of Milford Tracey O'Connor and Claudia Williams losing the out 10-7. Prestige Reality Campbells Bay Pavlina Nola and Charlotte Roberts beat Penny Smith and Katherine Costain 6-3 6-4. The singles matches went our way with Kelly Drew beating Shaylee Syme 6-0 6-0. Our other junior Rosie Cheng kept her perfect record this season against Katherine Costain. Pavlina Nola beat Ella Hassall after dropping a rare set first set to win 5-7 6-0 6-2. Kairangi Vano narrowly lost the first set 7-6 had to default against Claudia Williams after bad cramping. Campbells Bay won the contest 4 matches to 2.

Our Prestige Reality Men took on Ngataringa which consisted of a number of entertaining contests. The men played doubles first and Prestige Reality men Adam Thompson and Kevin Dou lost a doubles contest in the super tie break against Gilles DeGouy and Lucien Lemay while Mark Nielsen and Jackson Bodle beating Ben Davies and Daniel Brown 6-3 6-2. The singles matches ended up winning 4-0 with two matches going three sets. Prestige Reality Campbells Bay Adam and Jackson won their singles in three sets while Mark Nielsen and our promisimg junior William Matheson won in straight sets. Campbells Bay won the contest 5 matches to 1.
